Acadian Kitchens is the home of Ragin' Cajun and Cajun's Choice: two Louisiana brands built around bold seasoning, slow-cooked roux, easy family meals, and Cajun and Creole flavor that starts with real kitchen know-how.

Our team rooted here in Louisiana's Cajun culture has been crafting authentic Cajun & Creole food for over 40 years.

We make it easier for home cooks, restaurants, retailers, and food service teams to bring the taste of Acadiana to the table, whether that means a weeknight pot of beans, a fast jambalaya dinner, a seafood boil, a jar of roux, or bulk seasoning for a busy kitchen.

Our roots

Ragin' Cajun began in Lake Charles in 1980, founded by former Major League Baseball pitcher Ray Fontenot. Southern Seasonings followed in Broussard, Louisiana in 1984, and Cajun's Choice launched in 1990. Over time, those Louisiana food stories came together under one roof.

Today, Acadian Kitchens carries those brands forward from Lafayette with the same core promise: stay true to regional flavor while making Cajun cooking more accessible to the people who love it.

Ragin' Cajun Foods is founded in Lake Charles, Louisiana by former MLB pitcher Ray Fontenot.

1984

Tom Riggs establishes Southern Seasonings in Broussard, Louisiana.

1990

Rick Lane launches Cajun's Choice Louisiana Foods.

2017

Acadian Kitchens LLC forms to bring its legacy brands to a national audience while staying true to Louisiana roots.

2024

Acadian Kitchens invests in a new 35,000-square-foot Lafayette facility for manufacturing, distribution, and offices.
